This is a series of work using vintage photographs I mostly found at flea markets and antique stores. I liked to imagine and create stories regarding these characters. I was inspired by organic elements to create surreal landscapes that built narratives about who these people were. This work was also inspired by my love of mail, stamps and old-fashioned correspondence- letters and postcards. I like to include a stamp in the corner of each painting as if it were a letter from a long time ago.
